The Little Mermen: Disney Tribute Bandlive on stage and more family events this spring!
Ashland, VA— The Ashland Theatre is proud to announce a slate of family-friendly programming this spring designed to welcome families of all ages to the historic theatre.
Friday April 7 – The Little Mermen, the ultimate Disney Tribute Band! Founded by singer-songwriter Alexis Babini with the goal of bringing Disney-fueled nostalgia and singalongs to a generation who grew up on Disney, The Little Mermen play all the Disney hits, from The Jungle Book to The Lion King, and even Frozen. All ages are welcome and encouraged to dress as their favorite character. Tickets are on sale now.
Friday March 31 – The Second Annual Easter event at the Ashland Theatre! Families are welcome to take pictures with the Easter Bunny in the lobby starting at 5:30PM, then stay for a screening of Hop at 6:30PM. Tickets are on sale now.
Saturday April 15 – The Toddler Takeover– Free event! For one hour each month, the Theatre is open to all children ages1 month to 6 years. We will be showing cartoons and other family-friendly fare for our young audience with short attention spans. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5 per family at the door. Coloring and craft stations are set up and the theatre lights are kept on throughout the hour.
The Ashland Theatre is committed to offering a range of programming that appeals to all community members. The Theatre welcomed over12,000 patrons throughout 2022 for a mix of films, music, theatre, talks, and private rentals.
The historic Ashland Theatre, built in 1948, is an art deco style, 260-seatentertainment venue. The Ashland Theatre Foundation’s mission is to reinvent the classic American movie house experience through exceptional film, live performances, and live music.
