The Ashland Theatre is proud to announce that T-Mobile has generously agreed to sponsor the monthly Toddler Takeover series.

The Toddler Takeover occurs the second Saturday of each month at 10AM.  For one hour the theatre is free and open to patrons ages 6 and younger, and their families. There are cartoons playing on the big screen, crafts, coloring, story telling, and much more.  The lights are kept on and concessions are available for purchase.  This important program is aimed at introducing young children to the theatre for a free event without any behavioral expectations. 

The Toddler Takeover program was created in August of 2022 with cartoons and coloring sheets offered to attendees.  Since that time the program has grown to include live components, hands-on crafts stations, and a free book exchange. Over 2,500 patrons have attended the Toddler Takeover series since it began.

"Thanks to the generous support of T-Mobile, the 2024 Toddler Takeovers will be even more hands-on, more educational, and more fun for our young audiences,” says Ashland Theatre General Manager Courtney F. Caldwell. “We tailor each month to have a different theme, such as Valentine’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day, and we’re excited to take this a step further by incorporating more STEM-based learning activities and engaging with other local organizations, such as the library.”
